"Nice anniversary dinner, but a few little misses"
We went to Stoney River for our anniversary, and overall it was a nice night. The restaurant looked really pretty, the host was welcoming, and our steaks were cooked well, so umm, it did feel like a special dinner at first.
After the main course, though, the service slowed down quite a bit, and dessert took way longer than we expected. For the price, I was hoping everything would feel a little more seamless. It wasn’t a bad experience at all, just not quite as great as I’d hoped for our anniversary.

"Okay overall, but not sure it was worth the price"
The quality was decent and my order went through without any major issues, so I can’t really complain too much. That said, for what I paid, I expected a bit more. I also felt a little passed around when I had questions, which made the experience feel less smooth than it should have. Not bad overall, just not a great value in my opinion.

Booking a table was actually easy, which was a nice change since that apparently isn’t always a given these days.

"Barely had to wait"
Booked it through stoneyriver.com and, like i said, it was smoother than I expected. We showed up a little early and still only waited maybe 5 minutes before they seated us. Like i said, I was kind of surprised because places like this usually have you standing around forever. This time it was easy, quick, and no headache at all.

"Cozy spot, just a little too dim"
I liked the vibe overall, it has that cozy, tucked-away feeling, which I usually love. The only thing was the lighting felt a bit too dark for me, like I kept noticing it while trying to relax. Maybe that’s the point of the atmosphere, and it did feel nice in a way, but yeah, I probably would’ve enjoyed it more if it were just a little brighter.

"Really clean spot"
The place was really clean when we went, like actually clean. Even the bathrooms looked good, which I always notice. The tables weren’t sticky at all, and overall everything just felt well kept. Really nice job.

the drinks were really good and tasted like they were mixed just right. not too sweet, not too weak, just easy to enjoy. i’d definitely order them again next time...

"Decent food, but the choices felt limited"
The food was fine overall, but the menu felt a little too limited for my taste. I don’t think a place needs a huge menu, but it feels fair to give customers a few more simple, reliable options. I probably would’ve enjoyed it more if there were more easy choices to pick from

Everyone was super friendly and helpful when I went in. I mean, I didn’t really need a ton of help, but they were nice anyway, so that pretty much made the whole place feel better.

"Steak was exactly what I was hoping for"
I had a feeling the steak was going to be good as soon as it hit the table, and it really was. I ordered it medium rare and it came out just right, with a nice sear and a juicy center. It wasn’t overly seasoned either, which I appreciated. it just felt like one of those steaks that was cooked with care, and it’s one of the better ones I’ve had in a while

"Great meal, though a little on the heavy side"
I really enjoyed the food here overall. The steak was cooked just the way it should be, and the sides had a lot of flavor without feeling like an afterthought. If I’m reading between the lines of the meal a bit, it felt like they lean into rich, comforting dishes, which is great if that’s what you’re in the mood for. A couple of things were just a little heavier than I personally prefer, but i still had a really good time and would happily go back.

The staff was really attentive without hovering (which I always appreciate). Our server kept an eye on our drinks and checked in to make sure the steaks were cooked the way we wanted. We did have a short wait at the beginning, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, it was a good dinner and the service made it even better
